Slush Quilt, 2023

I took Maura Grace Ambrose’s Snowball Quilt workshop. The blue spotty fabric came from a particularly ill-fitting pair of trousers that I’d held on to for years - thinking about snowballs, I saw them in a new light and knew they were destined to become a quilt! Combined with some brown sludgy corduroy (another two pairs of trousers from my studio pile) put me in mind of winter walks, the snow all churned into slush.
